How To Make Your Creative Projects Stand Out With Foil Flakes

How To Make Your Creative Projects Stand Out With Foil Flakes

There are endless ways to use our metallic silver and gold foil flakes. Here are a few of our favourite craft project ideas!

CREATE A GALAXY-THEMED JOURNAL SPREAD WITH FOIL FLAKES AS THE STARS OR CLOUDS IN THE WAX SEALS

You can apply the foil (recommended with tweezers) either before you stamp the wax, or right after while it's still warm. Here we added silver foil flakes to our Celestial Moon wax seal stamp to represent the clouds.

ADD FOIL FLAKES AS ACCENTS TO YOUR TAPESTRIES

This tapestry was woven by one of our talented customers, Sue B. She used our foil flakes to add a little sparkle to the tears and her top tips are:

  • Glue the foil flakes to paper first, then carefully adhere that to the tapestry
  • Make sure there is a gap between the tapestry and glass of the frame so that the glass doesn't sweat and stain. It also means that if any of the foil detaches and falls to the gap at the bottom, it is invisible when viewed from outside
  • Avoid direct sunlight as this may fade the colours of the tapestry threads

add a sparkly element to your resin bookmarks & paper scorers

Resin art is all about encapsulating the beauty of the featured item. Why not add some sparkle alongside dried flowers when making your resin bookmarks, earrings, necklace pendants and accessories.

Hope you were inspired by these ideas. I love seeing all the creative projects that you come up with! Feel free to send them via email, social media, or tag me (@fionaariva on Instagram) so we can add them to this page and share your work with our community.
