How To Make A Wax Seal Donut

You don't need to use any wax seal stamps to do this a-dough-rable wax seal idea! 🍩

To make donut wax seals, you will need:

• Small round ring mould
• Rubber cap for the donut hole
• Sealing wax & melting tools
• Scooper spoon to create the sprinkles
• Non-stick crafting mat
• Scissors
• 3M round double sided adhesive stickers
• Optional: Tweezers, Dish to hold the sprinkles

Method:

1. Place the rubber cap on your non-stick silicone crafting mat
2. Place the ring mould around the rubber cap so that it's centred
3. To make the donut 'sprinkles', melt a small amount of coloured sealing wax, pour it onto the mat and smear it using the flat back of the scooper spoon. Allow to cool. Repeat with additional colours
4. Using a pair of scissors, cut the sealing wax into thin strips, then cut these strips into small rectangular 'sprinkles'. Mix and set aside
5. Melt additional sealing wax to form the doughy part of your wax seal. Pour it in a circular motion between the rubber cap and the ring mould. Try not to pour onto the side of the rubber cap otherwise there will be wax bits that stick out (which you can later trim, but doesn't leave as clean of a finish)
6. Working quickly while the donut wax "dough" is still warm, add the sprinkles
7. Allow the donut to cool, then squeeze the rubber cap to release it, and remove the ring mould.
8. Cut a hole in the 3M double sided adhesive tape and stick it to the back of your donut. You're now ready to use your new wax seal!
